Ram Bhandari discovered rafting from his home on the banks of the Trishuli River. He moved to Kathmandu from his home village Baireni when he was 15 and began his career.

He is a raft and trekking guide, safety kayaker and kayak instructor. Ram has competed in freestyle and extreme races and his best result was 1st place in the Peak
Challenge.

He has worked 3 seasons in Tibet as head guide and staff trainer. He has done over 10 first descents in Tibet and 3 years ago helped set up and establish rafting and kayaking in Tibet with Windhorse Adventures.

The past 10 years he has worked freelance for many companies in Nepal raft guiding, trekking, safety kayaking and kayak instructing.

He has also been involved in many expeditions and first descents including an all Russian expedition on the Upper Arun Gorges in Nepal and the Yigong Psangpo in Tibet.

He has the knowledge, experience, judgement and charisma to ensure the trip of a lifetime.
