experience living and interacting in a culturally and geographically
rich locations such as Nepal is an opportunity of a lifetime.
Through Whitewater Adventures Nepal “ The Discovering Nepal “ program designed
specifically for school children from Australia gives a pathway
for students to experience Outdoor Education in a unique and
enriching way. The people of Nepal have a simplistic lifestyle
and have minimal opportunities but are very happy and content
people. This highlights the underlying values such as community,
relationship with the environment and others. School students
from Australia will become part of a small group who live and
travel together spending time working on community projects,
trekking and rafting and sharing an experience that may
change their lives forever.

Whether it will be kayaking, rafting, trekking
or sightseeing there is endless possibilities for recreational
activities in Nepal.

There is great opportunity for environmental
trips in Nepal both through interpretive and conservational eyes.
Volunteer
and community work
Whitewater Adventures Nepal have an affiliation
with two schools that are situated approximately one to two days
hike up from the Trisuli River which is approximately 50km from
Kathmandu. These are both primary schools and are called Shree
Ammleshwary Primary School and Shree Jala Kanya Parimaki School.
These schools are in a relatively remote area with very basic
facilities. Through programs and trips with Whitewater Adventures
Nepal there will be time to go and work on projects at the school
such as for example building projects such as, new classrooms,
library, electricity, installing running water just to
name a few. There will be opportunities for participants to teach
some classes to these young Nepalese children and spend time
at the schools for extended periods of time.
Tafe
training
The possibility of running Tafe programs
in Nepal is huge. The plethora and magnitude of rivers makes
Nepal an ideal location to run Whitewater courses for both rafting
and kayaking. From Introduction to Whitewater, Whitewater Skills,
River Rescue right through to becoming an instructor there are
infinite possibilities. Raft guide courses would be ideal in
Nepal and there is and plenty of water all year round. If you
wanted to go and work overseas in rafting or kayaking doing one
of these courses would set you up perfectly both in rafting and
safety kayaking.
Expeditions
The co-directors Georgia and Ram Bhandari
both have a great passion for Expeditions and first descents
both having pioneered many new rivers in Tibet and Nepal and
around the globe. Whitewater Adventures Nepal can help provide
any sort of expedition you want and tailor make any trip you
would like to do.
Family
trips
In Nepal the family tradition is very strong
and is valued very much.It is possible to run family trips to
Nepal but children must be a minimum of 16yrs old and for the
